2008 MINI Cooper
One of the best incentives I've heard of is right down the street, at an Atlanta condo development called Aqua and another called Duo. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the developer of the project, Tivoli Properties, is giving away a MINI Cooper to buyers who sign up for units at either building.
The deal is thus: buy a two-bedroom condo at Duo, in Midtown (Georgia Tech, Margaret Mitchell House and gays) and you'll get a MINI Cooper Convertible valued at up to $25,000. Take a unit at the Aqua building in Castleberry Hill area (lofts, CNN, Aquarium) and you'll get a standard MINI Cooper valued at up to $20,000.
The deal's being offered, the paper says, because the developer is having problems selling the final cluster of condos in the buildings. The condos are priced from $229,000 to more than $1 million.
Have you heard of a better enticement for buying right now--one that includes a new set of wheels? Tell us in a comment.

This is good incentive for people. There is a builder here in the Chicago suburbs that is giving a new Lexus ES to customers who purchase a home in their subdivision. These car giveaways make up for what the property values will decline in the next year!

In and around the forest of condos going up in our little Royal Oak suburb, one is offering a two-year Land Rover LR2 lease.

A new condo building, "Encore", here in Charlotte is doing a similar promo, but they're giving away a Porsche! The high rise condo has "car elevators" that allow you to park your car in your unit, so it's a pretty clever way to advertise. It's just across the street from my office and I walk by their display of a Cayman and a Cayenne every day, but I'd honestly be more tempted by the Mini!
