2010 Ford Mustang Is Here, Too

Like Glenn Close cookin' up a pot of rabbit stew, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is demanding you pay attention to it today. Ford, though, wants you to remember that it was the first pony car on the block, will remain on the block, and is also getting a major fluff job for the 2010 model year.

To make sure it's not all Chevy, Chevy, Chevy today, Ford sent out a prototype for the 2010 Mustang this past weekend at the lovely Road America racetrack in lovely Wisconsin. Here's the proof. As for any more details on the Mustang? Well, Ford's not as easy with the details as GM, but we're sure to hear something in the coming months--though no Mustang rumors have been as tantalizing as the turbo four-cylinder ones coming from the Camaro camp.

Despite the fact that the whole Camaro-versus-Mustang thing was supposed to die off in our late 20s, we'll be here reporting on every square inch of the saga to come. Stay tuned.

Ok, so we all pretty much know that the Camaro and the Challenger are and will out-perform the Mustang. And don’t get me wrong both the Camaro and the Challenger are beautiful cars that are helping to bring back the “glory day’s”. But for my money, I’m still a die hard Mustang guy. I love my ‘06 GT. This is the first Pony car and will always have a special place in my garage!

Now if only Ford could do a nice Eco-boost V8….LOL

Hey I’m a MoPar(Challenger) guy who also loves Camaros and Mustangs. These three modern muscle cars represent the essence of American heritage. I could car less about B.M.W. or Benz, I want to see and drive a Dodge. I want to see these cars, in only slightly modified form battle it out in NHRA Pro Stock with production based engines. Funny Cars can be slowed down by using replica, close to stock bodies without all the wings and swoopy generic bodies. NASCAR should do the same and return to stock bodied cars and give Toyota their walking papers. The muscle car wars have returned,lets get it on!

Swell, we get the latest greatest ponycars just as gas is going to hit $6.00 a gallon. I would love a new ’stang, but the thought of a twice a week fillups at today’s price of $4.75 a hi test gallon is scary.

Will the economy be strong enough to support $40,000 third cars? I hope so, but these are a slim reed.
