Audi continues its product assault with this hot S4 Avant addition to the new A4 lineup.
Audi is arguably the best at creating svelte, yet aggressive sport
wagons that match its sedan counterparts in machismo, and this latest S4 Avant is no exception.
The word is Audi's new S4 range will get a new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 rated at 333 horsepower, coupled to a seven-speed version of the S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox.
TheCarConnection.com will have the full story on the
2009 Audi S4 sedan and Avant from the Paris auto show, starting in October.

Are these the first shots of the
Acura NSX?
The new supercar, often rumored and much delayed, has been in turnaround since
Honda styled concepts that met with a thud at major auto shows. Now, this prototype seems to wear typically
Honda lines and possibly even an
Acura badge on the nose. Does it look to you like the
2007 Acura Advanced Coupe Concept from the 2007 Detroit auto show?
If it is the new
Acura NSX, it has a tough life ahead of it--it has to do battle with the
Nissan GT-R and the coming 200-mph
Lexus LF-H.
We'll keep you updated as we get more information on these pictures.

A new
Mercedes CLK prototype has shown itself in Germany to TheCarConnection.com's spies, giving you the first unobstructed look at the new coupe's split headlight design.
A similar (perhaps identical) headlight design is expected on Mercedes's next E-Class. But even on the very latest E-Class prototypes--which are running around with much less camouflage than this CLK--we haven't seen such a revealing look at the front lights.
From the looks of this roofed prototype,
Mercedes-Benz likely will stick with a fabric roof for its CLK
convertible. The new CLK is expected to bow at next year's Geneva motor show.--

TheCarConnection.com's spy photographers just snapped the latest and best shots yet of the car that looks to be the 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt.
A similar prototype has been shot in various guises, but never from all pertinent angles while uncovered--in full Chevrolet trim. The new 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt will utilize GM's new global compact vehicle architecture, and will be shared globally--reportedly, it will be sold abroad in similar form as the Chevrolet Nubira and and the Daewoo Lacetti. The platform is also pegged to underpin the next-generation Saturn Astra and even the Chevrolet Volt.
These latest shots give us a great taste of the further evolution of Chevrolet's two-tiered grille treatment and the new Cobalt's chunky profile. The first-ever look at the 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt's largely undisguised tail treatment also reminds us of the recently revealed Opel Insignia, with its BMW-inspired raised trunk line and side sculpting.
The 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt is expected to appear in U.S. showrooms in 2010. Stay tuned for more details.--

Toyota and Subaru are working together on a rear-drive coupe for sale in 2011--and TheCarConnection.com has the first spy shots of what likely is a prototype of the car.
The joint-venture coupe has been rumored for a long time, according to spy photographers on the scene in the United Kingdom. These photos shot outside a test center in the United Kingdom reveal a lot, even if it’s just a mule with a lot of Subaru Legacy parts.
The coupe will probably be badged a Toyota in Japan and a Subaru in the rest of the world. Model names are still unknown, but it has leaked out that the engine will be a 2.0-liter boxer engine with about 220 horsepower. It will send power to the rear wheels through a six-speed gearbox. Together with its low weight, it's likely the new coupe will be a drift-happy toy--but there's still no word on whether Subaru will also offer a four-wheel-drive version that would be a spiritual successor of its wacky SVX coupe.
The 2011 Subaru coupe will be priced from under $20,000.--
