What’s on your wish list this year for the holidays? While we hold out for world peace and maybe a Canon 20D, Neiman Marcus hopes that 75 of you out there will put Lexus’ new hybrid GS450h sedan on yours. The luxury retailer will be the first to market the 2007 hybrid in its annual gift book. The 75 copies sold through Neiman Marcus will each feature the hybrid combo of a 3.5-liter V-6 and battery-powered motor to produce more than 300 hp, along with a specific Crystalline Ice paint job, wood and leather trim, and a Mark Levinson sound system with DVD navigation, Bluetooth compatibility and a rearview camera system. Ready to spend that $65,000? Wait until noon on Oct. 19th and dial 888-747-4504. (Trust us, kids: it’s Santa’s cell number.)

September 30th, 2005 - 8:21 pmIf people read Consumer Reports’ panning of the 2006 Lexus GS 300 (& GS 430) in two consecutive issues (Sept & Oct), NM may have trouble selling their allotment. CR was certainly unimpresed with this new model.
I hope to drive the 2006 GS 430 (I own a 2000 GS 400) on simulated gymkahana courses at Alameda Point in their Taste of Lexus, Performance Edition in Nov. here in the SF Bay Area.

October 5th, 2005 - 7:10 pmAnything to do with Consumer Report in the automotive industry has no real creditability. Enough said on that measure of claim.
Who would want to purchase one when the wallets of these consumers go after real luxury cars and not imitation? Think Bentley…Think Maybach. Where’s does Lexus fit in? I don’t see close resemblance.

October 25th, 2005 - 11:26 pmI’m a loyal Neiman Marcus customer and it’s due to the World-Class Service they provide. Lexus offers that same feeling when I’m in their dealership and when I’m driving my vehicle. I’ve owned the Elite vehicles. Lexus is now the Elite in my book. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but one thing for sure, I’m a Neiman Marcus and Lexus customer….FOR LIFE!
