Wrecked Maserati Gran TurismoIt's the schadenfreude capital of the Internet--Gregg's WreckedExotics Web site, where you earn you 15 minutes of fame by splitting, crashing, overcooking, rear-ending or spinning out in the hundred-thousand-dollar machine of your choice.

Here's the latest example of unskilled hands at work, this time on the Maserati GranTurismo. According to Gregg, it's the first known crash involving the newest Maserati. The $115,000 exotic was destroyed, he reports, after an accident in rural Ontario.

"The car sustained extensive damage to the rear, driver-side resulting in a bent axle.  The poor owner probably had less than 1,500 miles on the odometer," he blogs.

No doubt there's a special hell for drivers who perform this kind of sheetmetal bending. What's the ideal punishment for handiwork like this? Tell us in a comment below.

Perhaps 15 days getting dirty in a stamping plant would give him sufficient appreciation to not repeat this atrocity to anything bearing an Italian badge again.

How about six years of driving a Tatra 603? Eight aircooled cylinders hung behind a pair of swing axles. Can you say oversteer? Oops, too late. Really, this whole rich guys and gals with more money than skills is endemic. Makes all the others more valuable.

Just another example of the more money than brains syndrome…

The real pity is to most of these people “it’s only money” and they have no love of the cars and too much money.
