Alain de Leon's a longtime reader of TheCarConnection.com. Imagine his good luck at Carl's Jr., in scenic Barstow, when instead of his usual double cheeseburger, he spotted this mystery vehicle parked nearby. His first take: The car's a new Kia Rio. "I think it's a Rio just by the shape, but maybe I'm wrong." Our first guess is a member of the Hyundai/Kia family as well--but possibly, a new Toyota midi-van that's been rumored for the United States.
The Chrysler PT Cruiser sitting alongside it is a good indicator of size. The Michigan manufacturer's plate could tell all, and we're trying to run it down.

September 11th, 2008 - 3:00 amNissan because of the hump over the emblem in the back window, typical of what they have done on all there crossovers.
It could be a toyota, very avalon-ish from the side, very toyota like in the details and finishing of the surfaces.
Either way its boring! Who would buy this???
