Lexus Offers A "Greenest" Weekend Deal
Lexus Offers A "Greenest" Weekend DealRemember the Prius "smug alert" from South Park that we love so much? Now's the chance for green-car fans to get the same effect while spending a whole lot of cash.
Lexus is pairing up with a San Francisco hotel to offer what might be the greenest weekend available in one of its LS600 hybrids. For around $900 a night, guests of The Fairmont San Francisco and The Fairmont Washington D.C. have the opportunity to go “eco-chic” during their stay. Guests that choose a “Lexus Hybrid Living Suites” will be swaddled in eco-friendly drinks, sheets, coffee tables, and even a Lexus itself -- they'll have complimentary use of the Lexus LS600h L, the hybrid version of Lexus' new flagship sedan.
Eco-designer Kelly LaPlante, of L.A.’s Kelly LaPlante Organic Interior Design, helped design various pieces of the eco-friendly rooms at The Fairmonts. Renewable resources like bamboo were used in the creation of the suites. The furniture was designed by LaPlante and the Kenneth Cobonpue collection; bed items are created by Q Collection, Sleep & Beyond, and Coyuchi Organic. Organic towels and robes were produced by Nandina, and even eco-friendly paint was used, provided by Benjamin Moore. Lexus is in on the eco-friendly furnishings act, too -- they've installed a custom coffee table made from leather recycled from Lexus vehicles.
