We're making a plan for Pebble Beach, and we're making it soon: TheCarConnection.com is headed to the classic concours in California on August 14, where we're bringing you the first look at a new Cadillac.

Since we have to have something to make it look good for the home office while we swill champagne and relax to the tune of bagpipers, we'll have to keep the car's name and mission quiet for now--but the clever among you will know what we've shown you before.

Meanwhile, somewhere else on the grounds of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be Bugatti's new Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, too. The 1,001-bhp (uncorrected) sportscar gets a removable roof that shows off the glory of its 16-cylinder, quad-turbocharged engine, all of which probably makes it the second-fastest production car on the planet, next to the hard-roofed version.

The new Grand Sport will be auctioned off at the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center and goes home to its new owner in spring of 2009, according to Autocar. 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand SportEnlarge PhotoWe're making a plan for Pebble Beach, and we're making it soon: TheCarConnection.com is headed to the classic concours in California on August 14, where we're bringing you the first look at a new Cadillac.
