Spy Shots: 2010 Saab 9-4X
Spy Shots: 2010 Saab 9-4XThe 2010 9-4 X will symbolize “the new Saab” and has been developed from the start to fit into the brand's portfolio--unlike recent offerings the 9-7X and 9-2X. The design is the product of Saab stylists working in Rüsselsheim, Germany, together with a smaller design group in Trollhättan. The new 9-4X will be a sporty-looking SUV with a lot of Aero X styling in the front; low side windows and short overhangs will emphasize its crossover credentials.
The 9-4X will share some pieces, though, with the 2010 Cadillac SRX. We expect the engine lineup to include gas and diesels. Some dealers in the U.S. already have seen the finished car and are reported to be very excited about the new Saab.
The 2010 Saab 9-4X could make its world debut at the Detroit auto show in January, but the Geneva show in March may be more likely.
