Hilary Swank Is Hydrogen-Powered
Hilary Swank Is Hydrogen-PoweredSwank seems to have gotten the better half of the deal; while Curtis and husband Christopher Guest are piloting a Honda FCX Clarity these days, Swank received the keys to a new BMW Hydrogen 7.
In between sessions polishing her two Oscars, Swank will have to get her people to refill the hydrogen-powered Bimmer in the L.A. area, one of the few places on earth that has hydrogen fuel available for refills. (Norway will be another one soon.)
Hydrogen-powered cars are being tested by many automakers as the alternative fuel of the future. BMW's spin is unique: unlike other hydrogen cars that use volatile hydrogen to power fuel cells, BMW's vehicles burn hydrogen in a modified internal-combustion engine.

BMW is also the only maker AFAIK to store its H2 as liquid, rather than a compressed gas. I have heard they have vicious boil-off problems with these tanks, although I haven't been able to get confirmation (Ms. Swank hasn't been returning my calls).

It's incredibly DUMB to waste all these billions to make these cars,
WHEN you can buy the EXCELLENT, MAGNIFICENT BMW 3.0 DIESEL & series
making 245 HP, 540 NM Torque, and an AMAZINGLY LOW Fuel Consumption of 7.2 lt/km (that's HALF of my BMW 740iL)
I WISH these clowns Managers decided to bring it HERE. They only bring the gas engine, and only the fuel hog v12 and v8s at that, since 1994. Before that they at least offered a couple v6s or i6s
