SEMA: So, How About a 460-hp Hyundai Genesis?
SEMA: So, How About a 460-hp Hyundai Genesis? The 2009 Hyundai Genesis scored points with TheCarConnection.com's experts with its swank cabin, attractive styling, and muscular 375-horsepower, 4.6-liter "Tau" V-8 engine. In the hairiest of Hyundai's SEMA Genesis concepts, the big luxury sedan adopts a supercharged version of the Tau V-8 that throbs with an estimated 460 horsepower. With cylinder deactivation, the sedan is said to deliver 27 mpg in modified form. On the outside, this RKSport-tuned Genesis also gets platinum-silver paint, a composite hood, new body add-ons, and a pair of rear-end spoilers. Enkei wheels, bigger brakes, lower springs, and a freer-flowing exhaust round out this sedan concept.
The other pair of Genesis sedans come from Rides and Dub magazines. The Rides edition focuses on high-tech tweaks, including an integrated suite of Apple computer pieces (iPods, iPhones, Mac Minis, a MacBook Air) and its own wireless Internet. Also on hand: The trunk sows a 20-inch Apple display that links into a separate Mac Mini computer. The Dub version meanwhile, took a "top design" approach to a pair of Genesis sedans with a white-and-black treatment that included white lacquered wheels on one car, and the white-and-black interior shown here.
