In case you're still under the impression that this "market correction" is somehow limited to the USofA, please note: Auto sales in Europe dropped 25 percent from October to November, or about 7.1 percent for the 2008 calendar year. In French, they call that le thud.

What's interesting, though, is that figures vary wildly from company to company and from country to country. Audi, for example, has managed to stay in the black, largely because of its recently debuted A4 model. Volkswagen has seen strong sales on the new Scirocco, but overall sales for VW are still nearly 4 percent below par. Finland and Slovakia? Doing great overall. Iceland? Um, not so much. And England, you're not helping either.
