Just before the 2009 Detroit auto show gets underway, TheCarConnection.com and High Gear Media have a nice bit of news to share: a new content distribution agreement we've done with the good folks at Yahoo! Starting today, our unique  "meta" reviews are now available on Yahoo! Autos.

We're excited because that brings our team’s work to one of the automotive industry's most trafficked properties, to the tune of about 5 million unique visitors every month.  This new relationship also expands on our already growing list of syndication partners, which includes agreements with AutoTrader.com. Oodle.com and Glam Media.  (Trust us, there’s more coming too).  It's all part of our strategy to take our content anywhere users are and deliver unique, useful information to help them make more informed car buying decisions.  It’s also some pretty solid validation that key players are taking note of what we’re building.

Under this agreement, Yahoo! users will have access to our review content for both new and used cars.  As you know, our editors at TheCarConnection.com use a unique to the web review format that brings the best of the Web together in one place, making it easier than ever to research cars online. Our expert editors supplement their own opinion of each car by consulting expert reviews from 14 reputable sources.  They then combine this information with their own impressions to form a single consensus review.

To top it all off, we also then use some top secret (yeah, we could tell you, but then we'd have to...) technology to show you the most important reviews from elsewhere on the web for every car -- so you can go see those yourself.  The result is the most well-rounded, comprehensive view of cars on the web.

There's more to tell you about soon, so stay tuned.  You can follow us on this blog, or via Twitter or Facebook too.
