Playboy Names Dodge Challenger SRT8 'Hottest American Revival'

Seen the February issue of Playboy Magazine yet? If you're one of the thousands who claim they read the magazine - "just for the articles" - then you'll know that Hef and the girls picked the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 as the "Hottest American Revival." The award was bestowed as part of Playboy's Car of The Year competition.

A trip on over to Playboy's Wheels section reveals that Playboy has its own rather thorough automotive review section - who knew?  They most recently gave the 2009 Ford Flex a favorable review, and even steered clear of any naughty mentions of usage possibilities for the gargantuan fold-flat rear.

Lifestyle-oriented automotive reviews are popping up in nearly every niche you can imagine. For example, playboys of a decidedly different bent are well served by editor Joe LaMuraglia's site Gaywheels.com, which itself has a library of automotive reviews for notoriously fickle gays and lesbians. The site also rates auto companies on their adoption of equal-rights policies in the workplace.
