Automotive enthusiast and entrepreneur Robert "B.C." Cross actually cares more about garages than what he parks in them. His web site, www.CarProperty.com is a curious mix of Robb Report-meets-real estate MLS; a site where serious and would-be collectors can scan classified ads that focus on garages.
Cross's site lists luxury real estate (there's a nice home with 18 garage spaces just outside of Atlanta), storage facilities, and even old gas stations -- any real estate that has to do with cars. Shoppers will find the navigation easy. One of our favorite functional aspect on the site is the feature that searches listing geographically.
With the economy in the tank, we asked Cross for his thoughts on the soft market, "Car collectors have been hit by the recession just like everybody else. The key is to find the properties owned by the individuals who have been forced to sell." Cross also said, "The state of the overall market is still showing signs of weakness in prices that car-centric properties can rent or sell for in all geographic regions of the United States. But the ability to pinpoint such activity is being hindered by the banks and loan servicing companies that control the foreclosed housing inventory."
Cross thinks that his site can help connect value-hungry buyers with specific properties. "What we've put together at CarProperty.com is a place where sellers, buyers and landlords and tenants, have an online advertising marketplace to help them buy and sell or lease and rent car properties. This resource is for the people because anyone can use the site, register a profile on the site and post advertisements for the car property they have and it’s all completely available whether they are real estate agents or not."
Now, after you snap up some vehicular bargains on e-Bay, you'll be able to hit www.CarProperty.com to find a spot to park them.
SHAMELESS PLUG WARNING: Since we're talking about garages, if you're looking for an appropriate car-guy gift for Father's Day, check out TCC Editor Roy's book, Motor City Dream Garages. He'll personally inscribe the book and ship it directly to the recipient. Clean. Easy. Cool. (The above photos are two of the garages covered in Roy's book.)

What about the banks controlling the REO inventory
How do we put pressure on the banks and loan servicer's to advertise their car properties on this site? I hope you can help me come up with some good ideas.

Fathers Day
Hiya
I saw the article about Fathers Day and think it is great that so many people are making plans already, I should really start soon. It is also my Dads birthday on Fathers Day, so this will mean double the celebration, and double the gift and card ideas. I really need to get my planning started. we should all be thinking about we can do to treat our Dads. My Dad is very special to me so I am going to treat the whole family to a lovely meal out at Dads choice of restaurant – which I am sure he will enjoy! Sometimes I find that Fathers Day cards in the shops are so expensive, so I have found a free alternative. I came across a cool freeFathers Day eCard site which I quite like, there are lots of cards which I know my Dad will like. Whenever I go onto this site I always find new cards which I like, so it maybe worth giving it a try.
