Everybody is on a budget these days, so what's a cheap way to let your father know you care? If you have an iPhone or iTouch, get a new application, CarPartArt, and send him an e-card for Father's Day. You do know his e-mail addy, don't you?
Launched by automotive photographer and enthusiast Chris Stocker, CarPartArt lets you create customized greeting cards or invitations from the rotating suite of CarPartArt photographs. Stocker has a keen eye for the smaller picture within the bigger view, and his bits-and-pieces style makes for some striking visuals.
Choose from 28 different classic car images and 6 borders to create e-cards that get attention and make car guys search for details to see if they can identify the make, year, and model of the car in the photo.
The app lets you type in a greeting on the border around the image you’ve chosen. Then flip the card over with your finger and enter your personal message on the other side. Sign the CarPartArt greeting card or invitation with your name(s).
This is yet another example of cool car stuff you can find for an Apple's iPhone and iTouch. The cost for CarPartArt is $1.99 ... and that's cheaper than buying a card for your dad.
