When we heard last night that TV icon Farrah Fawcett was failing, we thought it might be a sad day at TCC HQ. After all, our first memories of the Mustang II came on episodes of Charlie's Angels--and many years later, the Mustang II was one of the first cars in our driveway. Thirty years of acting, a Bionic husband and a burning bed later, Farrah Fawcett's death from cancer at 62 gives us all a little reminder of our own timestamps, and shows even beauty doesn't last forever.

Farrah's Corvette might--and here's where we need your help. Googling around, we found the "Weblog of Miss-Lou Motor Mafia," a fantastically named diary about classics. Miss-Lou found out last year that Farrah's onetime "Foxy 'Vette" had been on eBay in the early 2000s. Created by George Barris--yep, that Barris--the Foxy 'Vette wears green metallic paint, turbo fan mag wheels, and a fur interior fitted with a rotary phone, a black and white TV, and a CB radio. When it was listed on eBay it had 50,800 miles on the clock, and the hand lettering on the side was seemingly intact. Well maintained, the owner reported it needed some touch-ups.

We want to find this car. Help us track it down, and we'll find some way to reward you. Meanwhile, here's Farrah at her best.

This is Trey Frederick of Miss-Lou Motor Mafia and I wrote the article you speak of. The car is For Sale and I have the name and number of the man that bought it from the that 2000 eBay auction. He contacted me after finding my article.

I can help shed some light on the car. My father-in-law currently owns it. It was wrecked on the set of one of Farrah's jobs. He bought the wreckage some time after the fact and as been restoring it for many years. He has been in contact with George Barris and relayed the serial number on the engine block as well as the VIN. Barris has confirmed that my father-in-law has the car.
The eBay auction car from 2000 is not the car, and to my knowledge has not been confirmed by Barris as-such. So for anyone interested in the car, please do your homework first.

The car has been authenicated by Barris and has been in storage most of its life. Secondly the car has NEVER been wrecked. I don't know what wreck your Father-in Law bought but if Barris didn't authenicate it in writing you still have just a wreck.

I have been searching the web after the sad news of Farrah FawcettS death and have noticed that there is alot of interest in her corvette. This is relivent to me as I have a corvette that appears to have been modeled off of hers. If your interested in seeing some photos please send me an email address.

The car came through a dealer here in Indy from Car Craft Mag. I purchased it wrecked. I did have Barris confirm the car by phone but did not record the conversation. I had sent him pictures of the 454 motor he put in the car. He told me himself I had the original. The car from denver was a clone.

Not the actual Vette but in cleaning out my family home I discovered a still disassembled model of Farrah's Foxy Vette--great 70s memento.

Would be interested in the model if it is for sale.
