Though less than two weeks old, the young, nubile General Motors Company seems slightly more savvy than its bloated parent, General Motors Corporation. First, Bob Lutz recanted his position on the Pontiac G8, which was bad news for enthusiasts but good news for GM's bottom line. And now vice president of Buick-GMC Susan Docherty has indicated that she's planning to keep a fairly short supply of Buicks on hand at dealerships: around 45 - 60 days' worth. Sounds like a bit of good old fashioned business acumen to us -- too bad it took the world's fourth largest bankruptcy trial to make everyone see the light. [Autoblog]
