The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has released new crash-test results and ratings for the mid-size 2010 Buick LaCrosse sedan.
The newly redesigned Buick LaCrosse earned perfect ‘good’ scores all around, in frontal, side, and rear tests plus all subcategories, with the IIHS assessing a “low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.” With electronic stability control standard, it earns the Top Safety Pick designation.
In TheCarConnection.com’s Bottom Line review of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, Nelson Ireson notes that rear-seat-mounted thorax airbags—a relative rarity in mid-size sedans and in vehicles of this price class—are available across the LaCrosse range. Standard features include StabiliTrak stability control and a full complement of six airbags.
For those willing to check a few option boxes, several high-tech options could further boost safety. While visibility from the driver’s seat of the new Buick LaCrosse has been ranked pretty well by TheCarConnection.com editors and other reviewers alike, a blind-spot warning system is available on the LaCrosse, as are adaptive cornering headlights—either of which might help you avoid an accident in the first place.

I just wanted to say that I'm not a fan of the GM brand but the new Buick Lacrosse 2010 has the look that GM needs to get customers back. The design looks comparable to that of the new Lincoln MKZ that had a baby with a Honda Accord. Definitely what GM needs to get back to business. A big win for GM.
