Speaking in tongues

My neighbor's kids are out playing basketball in the driveway this morning. Must mean school is out for the year. Talking to these high schoolers can be a challenge, and not just because they think I'm from another planet. Well, maybe I am. We certainly don't speak the same language, nor share the same experiences. Rolls-Royce Loses Another Exec

Jim Selwa will be driving off into the sunset -- but not in a Rolls-Royce. Selwa has tendered his resignation at president of that stately British maker's North American subsidiary. It's the latest in a long-running string of setbacks for Rolls, which split off, several years back, from its long-time partner, Bentley Motors. Rolls has lost several other senior executives in recent months, and has burned through several CEOs since moving into its new headquarters in Goodwood, south of London. Handsfree - But Not Distraction-Free

It shouldn't come to anyone's surprise that handsfree cell phones are still distracting for drivers, even if they're not the wheel-and-phone juggling act that conventional mobiles inspire. No, what's surprising are two things: that people are occasionally capable of talking and driving and doing even more behind the wheel, and that some drivers (me included, sometimes) think it's our business what we do behind the wheel.
