Preview: 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Another world debut has been set for the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show--it's the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the stepping stone between street editions and the racing GT3.

Porsche says the newly reintroduced model--seen here wearing some interesting Crayola-inspired details--brings with it a bored-out 3.8-liter flat six making 450 horsepower. The redline's soared to 8500 rpm, and the more powerful engine's paired with a six-speed manual shifter with shorter ratios than those in the GT3. That probably shaves miles per hour off its top end, Porsche admits, but it's in the interests of making the GT3 RS an even sharper tool on the track.

More owners of the Infiniti G37 would recommend it to a friend than owners of any other model.

That’s according to data released earlier this month from the marketing research and consulting firm AutoPacific. For the first time this year, as part of its annual New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey, the firm asked “Would you recommend your new vehicle to a friend or relative?”
