The all-new 2011 Audi A8 isn’t set to go on sale until late next year but the car is set for a public reveal at the end of this month. Audi has confirmed the car will make an appearance on November 30 at the Design Miami art and design exhibition. [Edmunds]

Just three months after the backstabbing and name-calling between Tesla co-founders ended, scandal has begun to rock another California-based EV  start-up: Aptera Motors has booted founders Steve Fambro and Chris Anthony from its rolls. This is the latest in a string of setbacks and delays for the company, which included working to get its 2e model classified as a car to make it eligible for DOE funding, and design problems with the vehicle, including windows that didn't roll down. Since June of this year, the Department of Energy's Advanced Technology Vehicle program has awarded low-interest loans to encourage the development of next-gen cars. Ford, Nissan, Tesla, and Fisker got in on the action, but one outside-the-box company has been left on the sidelines: Aptera. The company's 2e model has been legally classified as a motorcycle, so Aptera hasn't been eligible for the program, but that'll change with Congress' redefining of the term "automobile".
