Bugatti Galibier 16C Concept Previews New Super Sedan

The Bugatti Veyron is, to many, the quintessential supercar: exclusive, incredibly luxurious, and outrageously powerful. But the car has been around for years now, and despite a recent proliferation of special editions, it remains Bugatti's only model. A set of new images leaked to the web today may hint at a change coming this week - but not at the Frankfurt auto show.

Called the Galibier 16C, the concept car is a Bugatti-styled sedan with a somewhat Porsche-Panamera-esque rear end treatment. The front end, while featuring the trademark Bugatti grille, also makes use of air dams that are rather reminiscent of recent Audis.

Bugatti Coffee Maker Also Offers Jolt, Sticker-Shock

Sadly, we here at Stalag TCC cannot afford to own Bugattis. Yes, a fortunate few get to test drive them, but when the sun goes down, we head home in humbler rides. However, there'll soon be a way for even schmoes like us to get a piece of the Bugatti pie, thanks to the Bugatti Diva 15-Bar Pump Espresso Machine. Like the supercars of the family, the Diva offers a rush of adrenaline, (though it comes in caffeine form). And at $1300 a pop, it's got the sticker-shock factor, too -- just like mom and dad. Now if only we can rig up some wheels and motor this baby to next week's Concours d'Elegance. [Amazon via AutoMotto]

Bugatti Royale (Or Bordeaux) Rendered

More speculation about the successor to the Bugatti Veyron has hit the web -- this time in the form of a rendering of the Bugatti Royale (also called the Bordeaux). Obviously, no one will know if this is an accurate representation until it's revealed to a select group of individuals at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. However, given what we've seen in the teasers and what we know of the upcoming model, most of us think this is in the ballpark. In the meantime, if you'd like to read about a real Bugatti, check Marty Padgett's review of the $2 million Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. Word to the wise: keep a bib handy. [CarMagazine]
