As anyone who's visited Jay Leno's Garage can attest, Jay really knows what he's talking about when it comes to cars, and he's got a gift for sharing that knowledge and enthusiasm with viewers. Case in point: Jay's video walkaround of the Devon Motor Works GTX at last month's Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance . The Devon spokesman is doing his salesman thing, saying that the car is meant to "bring sexy back" (yeah, that's current). Meanwhile, Jay takes the dude to task for stashing golf clubs in the trunk. Speaking of Porsche, the company has released a promotional video for the highly anticipated Porsche Panamera, which put in some face time in Monterey, California and at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance over the weekend. Although the new model has been seen before, these appearances mark its U.S. debut. The Panamera's reception in the auto press has not been what we'd call fully positive. If you're heading to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, we suggest a quick side-trip to the Mecum auction taking place in Monterrey, California this Saturday. Among the many lots perched on the auction block, you'll find this baby: a fully restored, supercharged 1970 Dodge Charger. And as a bonus for movie buffs, the Hemi-powered coupe was featured in the original Fast & Furious movie, where it was driven by Vin Diesel. No word on the price it might fetch, but it's probably less than Diesel made on the film and more than our annual take-home. [Mecum via AutoMotto]
