Mustang Hits Mid-Life; No Crisis In Sight

Some of us at TCC remember the Ford Mustang's first appearance some 45 years ago. Younger folks remember when their dads ran out and bought one to assuage the pain and depression of mid-life crisis. Many of us have actually owned a Mustang--the luckiest, having pre-disco-era models.

All of which is to say that we're very happy celebrate the anniversary of one of America's favorite icons, automotive or otherwise. We've loved the Mustang from the very start--from its precocious muscle-car beginnings, through its awkward, trying-to-fit-in style of the 1980s, to its rather awesome rebirth in recent years.
