The delayed two-door version of the Cadillac CTS is coming in May, and when it arrives, the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe will be joined right away by a V-8 CTS-V Coupe, too. However, we won’t have to wait until then to see the new model as General Motors has announced today that the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe will be on display at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Still, it's far from the horrifying prospect that, say, a Chevrolet Venture might have been, back in the days when GM wasn't very serious about building exciting vehicles for more than two people. The delayed two-door version of the Cadillac CTS is coming in May, and when it arrives, the 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe will be joined right away by a V-8 CTS-V Coupe, too.

A spokesman confirmed to TheCarConnection that the two-door would get the 2011 model year designation, and that it would share powertrains with the CTS sedan and the new 2010 CTS Sport Wagon that's in the product pipeline for the current calendar year.

The Coupe had been due for a release this summer, but GM's bankruptcy resulted in many product planning changes, including the delay of the two-door CTS.
