The 3.5-liter V-6 found under the hoods of the 2009 Lexus IS 350 and GS 350 was honored with a spot on Ward Automotive's 10 Best Engines list for 2009. This marks the fourth year in a row that Lexus' 2GR-FSE V-6 has made the list.

Ward's judges were all impressed with the V-6's power, refinement, and novel fuel delivery system. Lexus found that fuel delivery pipes on affected vehicles cannot withstand l0w-moisture ethanol found in some gasoline/ethanol blends, causing corrosion inside the pipes and leading ultimately to pinhole leaks. Fuel delivery pipes will be replaced free of charge by Lexus dealers.
