With the 2009 Hyundai Genesis successfully launched, the Korean automaker is planning for the arrival of an even bigger, more luxurious sedan--the 2011 Hyundai Equus, now slated to arrive in the U.S. next year.
The Car Connection has reported previously on the imminent arrival of the Equus. Now, a report in Automotive News suggests the Equus will go on sale next July for a base price of around $60,000.

Hyundai will install new direct-injection four-cylinder engines in its facelifted 2010 Santa Fe and redesigned 2011 Sonata models, according to information gleaned from an official at the automaker’s Montgomery, Alabama plant by a local paper, the Montgomery Advertiser.
The new 2.2-liter direct-injection engine will reportedly make about 200 horsepower, up from 176 hp in the current Sonata.
Modern direct-injection systems spray fuel directly into the combustion chamber instead of the intake manifold, while earlier DI designs—not sold in the U.S. market—had some issues with mechanical noise, many automakers have brought the technology to...

The Nissan GT-R is one of the most exciting and sought-after new sports cars, and whether at its $76,840 base price or with the more likely dealer markup, it’s one of the hottest performance bargains this year.
