Fiat-Based Jeeps Coming In 2013

Following the announcement of the proposed alliance between Fiat and Chrysler in January, the question on everybody’s lips was which European top-sellers were finally going to come to North America.

With Wednesday’s reveal of the new Chrysler-Fiat duo’s five-year strategy, things are starting to get a lot clearer.

One of the biggest changes will be introduction of several small Jeep SUVs based on Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013, Jeep brand CEO Mike Manley revealed.

Jeep will be dropping the current Patriot and Compass (pictured) models after 2012 and replacing them with a single SUV based on Fiat’s C-segment...

Ugliest Cars Of The Past 50 Years? You Might Be Surprised.

Think that the design of the Volkswagen New Beetle is more hideous than iconic?

Apparently you're not alone. Business Week has posted its "Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years," including a number of models present and past, and the New Beetle is just one of the newer and still-produced models on the list. Others include the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Honda Element, Hummer H2, Jeep Compass, Nissan Cube, and Toyota Prius.

They're particularly tough on the Escalade, sounding more like SUV-haters than design critics: "The perfect car design if fuel, practicality, maneuverability, and class mean nothing...

Chrysler Gets Mobile TV, Again: This Time It's For Grownups

Chrysler announced today that it will be the first automaker to offer in-car mobile TV with a full channel lineup. The new service, FLO TV Auto Entertainment, will bring up to 20 channels for a monthly fee that's low in comparison to existing satellite services.

For a couple of years now, Chrysler has offered the Sirius Backseat TV option—available as part of the Uconnect Studios package on a number of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles.
