Honda May Bring Acura TSX Wagon To American Showrooms

Honda May Bring Acura TSX Wagon To American Showrooms

Since the advent of customized vans in the late 1970s -- and subsequently SUVs in the early 1990s -- wagons haven't gotten a lot of attention from consumers. True, many companies continue to produce them, but they typically lack the snazzy, front-page appeal of crossovers and other sporty people-carriers. However, hot on the heels of General Motors' announcement that it's considering a Cadillac CTS-V SportWagon and Mercedes-Benz's official report on its E-Class Wagon comes news that Honda is also looking to try its hand at an upscale wagon -- one badged as an Acura and based on the Acura TSX.

In point of fact, that vehicle already exists: a...

Chrysler PT Cruiser Saved, Fan Pleased

Chrysler PT Cruiser Saved, Fan Pleased

Interesting news from Chrysler today: apparently, the much-maligned, decidedly unsafe, recently shelved PT Cruiser isn't headed for the graveyard just yet. The update comes via a bland, stilted tweet from a staffer deep inside pentastar headquarters (could someone please get those folks some coffee?), but we suppose "Chrysler announces PT Cruiser will remain in production" is clear enough. And we're guessing that means "beyond the existing 2011 extension". So, um, yay? [Twitter via Jalopnik]

Dodge Circuit Bolts Toward Production (Probably)

Dodge Circuit Bolts Toward Production (Probably)

We haven't spoken much about the Dodge Circuit lately -- not since Marty Padgett pointed out that the much-vaunted EV was included in Chrysler's restructuring plans. But we have good news for green roadster fans: Car & Driver has run a piece on the Circuit praising the car and noting that prototypes are roaming the streets of the U.S. and the U.K. In other words: the Circuit is still on-track (literally). We don't know anything about drop dates or pricing; we only know that Elon Musk might sleep a little less soundly tonight. [Wired]
