2010 Nissan Titan: ‘Sports Car Of Trucks’ Gets A Safety Boost

Safety features have been boosted across the 2010 Nissan Titan range of pickups, yet prices have only been raised modestly from 2009.

That’s the most important news for 2010 on Nissan’s full-size, V-8-powered Titan. Standard safety equipment has been expanded to include side airbags, side curtain bags, stability control, and an Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) system now standard across the entire model line. Previously the side and side-curtain bags had been available as a $685 option.

Splitsville: Nissan, Chrysler End Product-Sharing Deal

The product-sharing deal that would have brought new trucks to Nissan and new small cars to Chrysler has been terminated.

The end of the deal made in January 2008 was announced today in a brief release issued by both companies. By the terms of the deal, Chrysler was to supply Nissan with a full-sized truck based on its Ram pickup. That vehicle would have replaced Nissan's next-generation Titan, starting in 2011.

In return, Nissan was to provide Chrysler with a compact vehicle to sell in South America starting in 2009, and with a small car to sell worldwide starting next year.

The arrangement has been shelved, of course, due to the...

Nissan And Chrysler Need Some Time Apart

Friday the 13th has struck again--and this time, the victims aren't just moviegoers. It looks like there's trouble in paradise for Nissan and Chrysler.

Remember how we told you last week that  Nissan was going through some changes? That the company was shaking things up at its U.S. plants and moving production of many consumer vehicles to facilities in other countries?  That there were a lot of questions lingering?

Well, there are still a lot of unanswereds hanging in the air, but two things we know for sure:
