Chrysler announced today that it will be the first automaker to offer in-car mobile TV with a full channel lineup. The new service, FLO TV Auto Entertainment, will bring up to 20 channels for a monthly fee that's low in comparison to existing satellite services.

Chrysler Plugs In To A Chunk Of Government Cash

You might think Chrysler would be doubled over in pain these days, given all the tsoris of bankruptcy court. But in fact, the company is holding its head high and has developed big plans for tomorrow--at least on paper.

Yesterday, those plans made their way to the U.S. Department of Energy, when Chrysler handed over a $448-million proposal to develop a slate of green vehicles lickety-split. Most of the vehicles included in the plan would be electric and plug-in hybrid versions of the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Ram, based on their broad demographic appeal.

Of course, Chrysler didn't compile this proposal for product...

Not So Short Take: 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Much has been made about the decline in popularity of the minivan. With the proliferation of crossovers and SUV-lights, one might think that the mommy-box market was tanking. After all, GM and Ford bailed on the segment, so it must not be viable, right? Wrong. The reality is that while the minivan market has shrunk some, with over a million annual sales it's still a big sand box with room for perennial leader Chrysler to duke it out with its remaining competitors from Asia and Germany. Introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country is more squared-off styling represents an edgy departure from the Clorox bottle...
