WTF Friday Video: Transformers Costume Really Transforms

TCC staff are of two minds when it comes to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Some cling to quantitative data that suggests the movie did not, in fact, totally suck. The rest of us refer to it as Transformers: ROTF(L). But we can all agree that at least one great thing has emerged from Michael Bay's glitzy rubble: this insanely awesome Bumblebee costume, which looks like it might've been filmed at a Mexican dealership. We give huge points for its ability to transform -- though we wish there'd been a nod to El Chapulin Colorado in there somewhere. [YouTube via AutoMotto]

Transformer Auctioned: 2005 Saleen Mustang 'Barricade'

If you're a fan of the 2007 Transformers movie, you might be interested to know that the 2005 Saleen Mustang "Barricade" featured in the film was recently put up for auction. (You might have been even more interested if you'd known about this before the auction took place, but sometimes we're slow on the draw.) The 4.6-liter V8 went for a very reasonable $30,000 and is one of only three in existence. If we weren't so bummed out over Transformers ROTF, we might've even put in our own bid. [iCollector]

Chevrolet Unveils 2010 Camaro Transformers Special Edition

Chevrolet Unveils 2010 Camaro Transformers Special Edition

Say what you will about Megan Fox's acting chops, the Transformers movie franchise has proven immensely successful, and it has carried General Motors' ships higher with its tide. The biggest single beneficiary of the team-up is the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, and today GM announced the Transformers Special Edition appearance package to take further advantage of the association.

Unfortunately no sound effects or secret robotic lifeforms are included for the $995 price, but that modest fee will get you a set of black rally stripes on a Rally Yellow LT or SS Camaro, Autobot badging on the door panels and wheel caps, an embroidered Autobot center...
